I am FED UP with people creative-shaming themselves.
Show someone your artwork, food concoction or bathroom color scheme and inevitably someone will reply with "I wish I was creative enough to come up with that idea."
Well, I'm calling bullshit.
The expression of creativity can vary from person to person, and evolve within one soul over the course of a lifetime-- but you ALREADY have it.
What you may not have, are the skills to use that toolkit intentionally, the courage to claim your creativity or the knowledge to harness your imagination in a communicative way.
That's where I come in. I know you're busy--that you don't have enough time to explore the "frivolity" of creativity.
But, engaging creativity means coming up with innovative solutions in life (which can include mundane challenges like time-management skills).
In the name of honoring your time, and showing you how bite-sized action can make major changes in your life, I'm going to save further details of the life-changing results of developing a creativity practice for another blogpost (stay tuned).
In the meantime-- I'll ask something of you creative agnostics and overwhelm-junkies.
Think of the reasons that you believe that you cannot be creative right now. If you're like most humans--you probably already have a list of life challenges running around in your brain. All you have to do is develop awareness of those challenges, and that's where we start. I'd be honored if you would share.
Creativity isn't a luxury for the advantaged. It's one of the most effective ways to get the life you want.
